Are the Harry Potter wool scarves itchy?

I'm consider buying a Gryffindor scarf for the Harry Potter mid night premier in November, but I can't decide to get the 100% wool scarf or the acrylic chenille one. The 100% wool looks more authentic and richer in colours but if it's too itchy then I don't want to consider it. Your opinion helps!
