What color walls would go with green(not solid ) furniture?

My furniture covering is like a chenille and there are threads of red,gold,dark green in the grooves of the fabric. The rug is a light yellow/gold. I have purchased several samples of color, mostly shades of yellow and I also have red. I am hesitant to use the yellow shades as one bedroom is a light yellow and the top half of the kitchen, which is next to this room, is also yellow. The room does not get a lot of morning sun and the afternoon sun is filtered through the branches of a big ash tree. My house is quite small so I don't want to make it appear smaller. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. If you have suggestions for curtains/window coverings that would also be helpful.
