What fabric will wear better? on a sofa (Twill, chenille, or microfiber)?

I'm buying a couch for the first time and it is available in twill, chenille, or microfiber. What fabric will stand up to the most wear and tear against a person and a dog? I'd guess the twill or chenille would be the most forgiving - but a friend of mine recommends the microfiber. I'd love to hear your input on what fabric and any reasons why you think it's better. Thanks
