Which paragraph is better?

I like the first paragraph, because it gives a little history about Chanel’s Little Black Dress, and allows the reader to understand how and why people were surprised at first, but then slowly began to accept it. The sentence structures and word choice all combine to make a smooth, flowing, and interesting paragraph.
