WHO IS IN THE WRONG HERE?Me or my best friend or my mother?

My best friend moved in with me and my son a few months ago. It's not working out we agreed since space is an issue and she and her man are not making money. We agreed they need to find a new place. Well they are looking but I know it may take a month or so. in the mean time they give me money when they can and provide all the food for the house. The other day she went and got a whole bunch of food and a nice new jacket for my son (he needed a winter jacket). I told my mom about it since she thinks these ppl do nothing but leach off of me and she got mad and said I need to give the coat back . Then my friend got hurt because she was only trying to contribute and normally my mom complains she doesn't do anything for us.
