Why does my ex want to hang out if there is "no more feelings left"?

So I said I am done with my ex. I stopped contact with him when I saw him I ignored him and just acted like he didn't exists. I erased him off facebook and everything. He went got a new girlfriend and she cheated on him. Its been months and he is slowly getting over her but then he starts talking to me again out of no where. He sends me a request on face book and starts talking to me starts giving me all these signs that he likes me again, then tonight I was sad and he starts texting me and said well I know one thing that would make you happy, and I said whats that and he said if you come to my bed. He's done this before. He will dump me and then come back for the sex. I said no if you want this then I want a real relationship no more of this bullshit of friends with benifits. And he goes oh I was just kidding you blah blah blah and I said no your not and then he proceeds to say well I don't have those feelings for you anymore my heart is with my last girlfriend. And so I we got off on talking about the past and why we broke up and I said I feel like we never got a true chance because it was always about sex. We never had a true conversation. Then he said well you lied to me and I said yes but when I was away as a nanny I had alone time to reflect on my life and why I was where I was and I decided I needed a change and I realized my lying made me lose you, but I am so sick of everyone not giving me another chance and thinking I'm the same mean person. And he said well you just put that off with your bitchy looks, but I'm going to bed maybe we can go for a ride one of these nights. Why the hell does he want to go for a ride? If he has "no more feelings for me" why did he start back up being friends and why does he want to hang out now all of a sudden? He is sick and twisted and I shouldn't waste my time on him but I want to know what he is thinking.
